About The Position

Hirzel Canning Company & Farms is hiring a Forklift Driver for shipping and receiving operations. The role handles finished products and incoming freight, completes required work orders and inspection records, uses the company’s warehouse systems, and maintains a safe, orderly warehouse. Candidates must be willing and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Daily attendance is essential to the efficient operation of the Company.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including regular lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds and frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds.
Daily attendance is essential.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift certification from previous employer(s).
Two to three years of experience in shipping and receiving as a primary job function.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Handle and stack finished product.
Inspect truck trailers for cleanliness and satisfactory physical condition before loading or unloading.
Inspect incoming freight for damage.
Complete paperwork and inspection logs daily.
Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Use the X3 program, RF unit, CRT, and LAS systems daily.
Keep aisles and the warehouse neat, clean, and free of hazards.
Operate the forklift safely to prevent damage to products or equipment.
Perform job duties safely and watch out for the safety of others.
Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Complete work accurately, efficiently, and on time, with a sense of urgency and commitment.
Promote a positive attitude and maintain respectful working relationships.
Embrace Company changes and support their implementation.
