About The Position

Use electric-powered industrial trucks with lifting devices to move products, equipment, and materials while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure materials are properly loaded and unloaded onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices. The role handles frozen food items and requires work in cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or dry storage temperatures up to 100°F/37°C, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear. Work schedules and shifts may be flexible and include weekends if needed.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; the weight may be higher depending on the facility.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.

Responsibilities

Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transport, load, and unload them in designated areas.
List materials and record the weight, counts, and condition of frozen food items using a Radio Frequency (RF) system.
Complete the daily forklift maintenance and check sheet.
Lead safety inspections of truck chalking and the glad-hand process.
Communicate with semi-truck drivers to ensure safety precautions.
Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material-handling equipment at the proper charging station.
Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment.
