About The Position

The Production Line Material Handler primarily reviews the production schedule daily to ensure there is enough supplies in the warehouse and delivers them to the production lines, as well as hauling the finished pack stock from the production lines to the shipping warehouse.

Trained on forklift use and safety.
Driver’s license required.
Required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Close vision abilities required.
Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds continuously.
Work in extreme cold and heat conditions.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving product.
Supply the production lines with the correct supplies with correct codes and dates.
Pull supplies from the warehouse by the oldest dates.
Transfer pack stock to the shipping warehouse.
Fill out and turn-in pack cards with products dates and codes at the end of the day.
Perform weekly inventory counts for the next weeks schedule.
Gather supplies from other parts of the plant and unload pallet trailers.
Know the hold tag procedures for BBQ and Spun products.
Assist management with the ordering of tier sheets, slip sheets, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
