About The Position
Operate powered industrial forklift sit-down, cherry picker, and reach to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, loading docks, and containers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months of warehouse forklift experience
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Able to complete task assigned on a timely matter
- Good communication
- Reliable
- Must work OT when required
- Basic Math
- Read and write
Responsibilities
- Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse
- Loading and unloading pallets
- Pull, scan orders (cartons)
- Accurate loading and unloading pallets into the racks
- Maintain the racks clean and organized
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Checking loads are secure
- Stacking empty pallets
- Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the forklift battery and lubricating equipment
- Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines
- Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Must follow safety procedures always
- Wear seat belt, honk your horn in between aisles, and no speeding
- Exercise care of equipment, completes the forklift truck pre-use inspection sheet daily at the start of the shift. Returns completed sheets to his supervisor and reports all damages to his supervisor.
