About The Position

The Forklift Driver III operates powered industrial forklifts, including sit-down, cherry picker, and reach trucks, to manage materials within a warehouse setting. This involves loading and unloading deliveries, moving goods to and from storage areas, loading docks, and containers, and ensuring accurate inventory placement. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures, daily equipment checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Six months of warehouse forklift experience
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Able to complete task assigned on a timely matter
Good communication
Reliable
Must work OT when required
Basic Math
Read and write

Responsibilities

Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse
Loading and unloading pallets
Pull, scan orders (cartons)
Accurate loading and unloading pallets into the racks
Maintain the racks clean and organized
Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse
Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
Checking loads are secure
Stacking empty pallets
Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the forklift battery and lubricating equipment
Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines
Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
Must follow safety procedures always
Wear seat belt, honk your horn in between aisles, and no speeding
Exercise care of equipment, completes the forklift truck pre-use inspection sheet daily at the start of the shift
Returns completed sheets to his supervisor and reports all damages to his supervisor
