Forklift - Cherry Picker
About The Position
This is a temporary, first-shift position requiring the operation of a forklift and cherry picker. Employees must wear closed-toed shoes and have a picture ID and a Green WAR shirt. A point system is in place, and employees reaching 0 points or less will be termed. Specific point deductions are outlined for lateness, early departures, and unscheduled absences. Three consecutive days of absence without proper notification are considered voluntary resignation. A doctor's note is required for absences of three or more consecutive days due to illness or injury. Employees will not be paid for company-paid holidays if they are absent the day before or after the holiday without proper notification.
Requirements
- Must wear closed-toed shoes
- Picture ID required
- Green WAR shirt required
- Must adhere to a point system; reaching 0 points or less results in termination
- Lateness or early departure of 1-10 minutes results in a 0.25 point deduction
- Lateness or early departure of 11 minutes to 4 hours results in a 0.50 point deduction
- Lateness or early departure of more than 4 hours results in a 1 point deduction
- Calling in less than 1 hour prior to scheduled start time results in a 1 point deduction
- Unscheduled call-in absence with zero sick hours available results in a 1 point deduction
- Unscheduled absence, no call no show (NCNS) results in a 2 point deduction
- 3 or more consecutive days without proper notification is considered voluntary resignation
- A doctor's note is required for 3 or more consecutive days of absence due to illness or injury
- Absence the day before or after a company-paid holiday will result in the employee not being paid for the holiday
