About The Position

Scholastic Book Fairs, in partnership with schools across the country, hosts more than 127,000 book-sale events that give more than 35 million students and their families access to thousands of affordable and educational products, helping foster a lifelong love of reading. We are currently in search for a Power Equipment Operator in our West Chester location. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at significant heights as the primary piece of equipment is the Order Picker. This is a safety sensitive position and Power Equipment Operators must pass a drug test before they are authorized to operate equipment in a Scholastic facility.

Requirements

Trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
Minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience (for non-internal promotions).
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency.
Strong team player and ability to get along with co-workers.
Good verbal/written communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities
