About The Position

The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. The Lumber Manufactory is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Associate to support our New Albany manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our materials management system, operating forklifts and managing inventory movement with precision and care. Your work ensures that our sustainable lumber products move smoothly through production and reach our customers on time. Location: This role is based in New Albany, Mississippi at our primary manufacturing facility. Regular onsite presence is required. This position is best suited for candidates who are local to the area.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of forklift operation, material handling, or warehouse experience
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing environments with machinery, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
  • A hands-on operator who is detail-oriented, takes pride in safe and precise work, and follows procedures carefully
  • A collaborative team player who communicates clearly with coworkers and supervisors, and takes feedback seriously
  • Someone with a strong commitment to safety as a core value, not just a checklist item, and who speaks up about hazards or concerns
  • Reliable and accountable, with consistent attendance and a proactive attitude toward learning and improvement

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment across the manufacturing facility, warehouse, and outdoor storage areas in full compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
  • Own the movement and organization of raw materials and finished products, ensuring accurate placement, secure stacking, and inventory integrity
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, identify mechanical issues or safety hazards, and report concerns immediately to your supervisor
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to coordinate material flow, meet production timelines, and support operational efficiency
  • Maintain organized, clean work areas following our 5S standards and environmental best practices, reflecting our commitment to sustainability
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support team and operational needs as they evolve
