About The Position

The Forklift and Facility Maintenance position involves a variety of facilities-related tasks, such as external/internal building repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety and licensing concerns. The role requires performing general maintenance and repairs on equipment, fixtures, systems, and facilities to support overall building operations. This includes diagnosing and performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on various powered industrial equipment, as well as general carpentry, facility structure repair, and minor plumbing work. The position also entails performing monthly preventative maintenance, ordering materials, updating work orders, providing status updates, maintaining a fleet of over 70 electric forklifts, and coordinating with vendors for maintenance work. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience performing general maintenance and repairs on forklifts is required.
2+ years related facility maintenance experience is required.
Technical skills and knowledge of general industrial maintenance – electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fabrication, machining, carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning and heating.
Basic computer skills are required for researching needed parts & supply orders.
Welding experience required.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Performs general maintenance and repairs on equipment, fixtures, systems, and facilities in support of overall building operations.
Ability to diagnose and perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on a variety of powered industrial equipment.
General carpentry and repair of facility structures as well as minor plumbing work.
Perform monthly preventative maintenance visits for each assigned area.
Order materials, update and/or create work orders and provide status updates.
Maintain fleet of 70+ electric forklifts.
Coordinate with vendors to schedule maintenance work.
Other related duties as assigned.
