Fork Truck Driver - 1st Shift
About The Position
Amentum is seeking Fork Truck Drivers for their 1st Shift industrial maintenance team in Miami, FL. The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, but hours may vary based on business demand. This role involves essential functions such as loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items, and transporting materials within and outside the facility. The position requires maintaining professional and courteous customer relations, participating in safety meetings, and adhering to safety work practices. Communication of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) related concerns to colleagues and management is also a key responsibility, along with other duties assigned by a manager, supervisor, or lead.
Requirements
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
- Previous fork lift operation experience and ability to pass fork lift certification.
- Working knowledge of power and hand tools used in building and assembling boxes.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
Nice To Haves
- Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
- Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
- Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
- Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials from one location to another inside and outside of facility.
- Maintain professional and courteous customer relations including, client, vendor, and internal team.
- Actively participate in safety meetings.
- Maintain safety work practices as define by Amentum
- Communicate and advise MHE related concerns to fellow employees and management.
- Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor/lead.
