About The Position

This is a full-time Fork Lift Operator II position in a food manufacturing environment, with opportunities for advancement. The role involves receiving product requests from load sheets, picking pallets from storage racks, and moving them to designated forward-pick locations for distribution. The operator uses lift equipment in accordance with facility Good Warehouse Practices and OSHA regulations, reports equipment malfunctions, and may help with periodic inventories. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for hours worked from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The listed shift is 2nd shift, with hours shown as 3 a.m.–11 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required forklift certification and license.
• Satisfactory completion of cart driver training.
• Ability to enter product and movement data into terminals daily.
• Ability to operate cleanup brooms, plastic compactors, forklifts, and carts.
• Ability to work in cold/freezing temperatures of 30 degrees.
• Ability to use WMS and eventually understand and use the SAP ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Receive product requests from load sheets and pick pallets from storage racks for trailer loading, placing them in the designated forward-pick location for distribution.
• Operate equipment in accordance with facility Good Warehouse Practices and OSHA regulations.
• Operate lift equipment safely and appropriately to minimize damage to products, equipment, and storage racks.
• Report malfunctions of high-lift stacker or reach-truck equipment to a supervisor.
• Assist with periodic inventories in the work area as needed.
