About The Position

The Forklift Operator counts freight received and shipped and verifies item counts against drivers’ bills. The operator identifies and reconciles count variances by noting them on driver bills and obtaining signatures, and prepares over, short, and damage reports as required. The role also involves retrieving cases from warehouse locations and assembling them neatly on pallets or carts, selecting cases by product type and lot number.

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to operate facility material-handling equipment and attachments, including forklifts, reach trucks, and hand trucks; OSHA certification on forklifts is specified.
• Basic understanding and use of RF scanning equipment.
• Good arithmetic skills.
• No fear of heights.
