About The Position

As a Forge Operator I, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining forging equipment used in the production of aerospace components. This role supports the manufacturing process by forming, swaging, upsetting, and contouring preforms and airfoil blanks while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements. The Forge Operator I will work from engineering specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to produce parts that meet customer and regulatory standards, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience; forging, metalworking, or heavy industrial experience preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, or manufacturing routers.
  • Familiarity with material traceability, quality documentation, and inspection processes.
  • Forklift, overhead crane, or other industrial equipment experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor forging equipment in accordance with established work instructions and specifications.
  • Produce forged aerospace components that meet quality, dimensional, and customer requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, routers, setup sheets, and process documentation.
  • Perform in-process inspections using gauges, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Maintain material identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report process deviations, quality concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Complete required production, inspection, and traceability documentation accurately and timely.
  • Follow all safety, PPE, housekeeping, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training and certification activities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to support operational objectives.
