The Great Basin Institute (GBI) is seeking a Forestry Stewardship Coordinator to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of forestry and conservation projects within the Six Rivers National Forest. This role operates under the supervision of the Forestry Operations Manager and is responsible for leading project delivery from planning through closeout. The Coordinator will manage daily project activities, guide seasonal field staff, and act as a key contact for contractors. Ensuring project work aligns with contract specifications, environmental regulations, and program goals is crucial, as is maintaining strong communication with agency partners and stakeholders. The position is primarily field-based, involving significant on-the-ground coordination and oversight, but also requires substantial office work including report writing, proposal support, data analysis, and technical documentation. The Coordinator must be capable of independent field management, remote coordination, and effective communication with supervisory staff. Regular travel to project sites and partner locations is necessary. Field conditions can be challenging, including uneven terrain and variable weather.
