This position focuses on construction, maintenance, and wildfire support across the Pinchot State Forest. The work ensures that public spaces, facilities, and equipment remain safe, functional, and ready for use. As a Forest Maintenance Worker, you will perform duties such as maintaining and constructing roads, trails, district facilities, and forest infrastructure; mowing and clearing vegetation at various locations; inspecting and servicing vehicles, tools, and equipment; supporting wildfire prevention, detection, suppression, and training activities; and installing and repairing signs, gates, and kiosks. This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits, running from March to November annually. The work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime may be required for training and emergencies. Telework is not an option.
