Performs chemical analysis procedures in a forensic laboratory. This role involves analyzing post-mortem fluids and tissues for drugs, poisons, or other chemicals and their metabolites. The Forensic Toxicologist summarizes results, prepares toxicology reports, and may assist in developing new analytical procedures. They may also be required to testify as an expert witness, assist in instrument calibration, inventory, evidence control, and records maintenance.
