About The Position

Withum is seeking a Forensic Manager to join their Forensic and Valuation Services Group (FVS Group). This role can be based out of multiple office locations and is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days in the office per week. The FVS Group assists clients and attorneys with investigations, financial analysis, and expert testimony in areas such as Forensic Accounting, Ownership Disputes, Marital Dissolution, Economic Damages, Post Acquisition Disputes, White Collar Crime, and Estate matters. Forensic Managers will supervise associates, conduct investigative and financial analyses, and collaborate with senior leadership to advance client matters. There is an opportunity for growth into an expert witness role. Withum emphasizes teamwork, client service excellence, and the personal and professional growth of its team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
CPA License
Minimum of 7 years of experience in forensic accounting
At least 1 year of experience at a manager level
Strong work ethic
Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Highly motivated with outstanding analytical skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff as part of a team, or independently

Nice To Haves

CFE, CFF, and/or ABV credentials

Responsibilities

Managing forensic investigations as well as business dispute and economic damage engagements
Communicating with clients and counsel to obtain documents
Developing a forensic plan for the respective engagement and managing a team of associates to implement the plan
Summarizing and interpreting relevant financial information and records
Developing forensic accounting and dispute/economic damage analysis
Assisting in the preparation of expert reports and other deliverables
Critiquing opposing expert reports in preparation of rebuttal expert reports
Assisting with deposition and trial preparation
