About The Position

The Children's Justice Center is a homelike facility which serves children and families who are experiencing the crisis and chaos that comes with the disclosure of significant physical or sexual abuse of a child. This is a Grant Funded Position. Under general direction of the Associate Director – Children’s Justice Center or Clinical Supervisor and as a member of the Utah Valley Special Victims Task Force, performs professional work in conducting forensically sound investigative interviews and in assessing individual child victims. Prepares individual reports and evaluations and testifies in court as required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must obtain a valid State of Utah driver’s license within sixty (60) days of employment.
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts forensically sound investigative interviews.
  • Assesses individual child victims.
  • Prepares individual reports and evaluations.
  • Testifies in court as required.
