About The Position

Bowhead is seeking a Forensic Analyst for an upcoming effort in Patuxent River, Maryland. The role investigates cyber events involving information technology systems, networks, hardware, and software. It collects, processes, preserves, analyzes, and presents digital evidence to support vulnerability research, cyber threat mitigation, testing, and evaluation activities. The analyst also serves as a functional team lead, coordinating team members and contributing to project planning and coordination.

Requirements

• Advanced-level Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 additional years of experience performing the described functions in a DoD or other Government Agency platform/weapons systems or IT infrastructure environment.
• Demonstrated experience conducting digital forensic investigations and analyzing cyber events.
• IAT Level III Certification.
• Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• U.S. citizenship is required for Top Secret clearance at this location.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time, and twist, bend, and squat periodically.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into cyber events involving IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
• Research cyber threats, adversarial tools, techniques, and methods.
• Collect and preserve digital forensic evidence.
• Process and analyze forensic data to identify potential vulnerabilities and security threats.
• Document and present forensic findings to support technical investigations.
• Support vulnerability research and the development of mitigation solutions.
• Provide technical support for cyber testing and evaluation activities.
• Serve as the functional team lead, coordinating and overseeing the work of other team members.
• Track project progress and participate in project planning, resource allocation, and event coordination.
