About The Position

Meaden & Moore is seeking a Manager with five plus years of experience, preferably in public accounting, to join their Investigative Accounting Group. This role offers a flexible, hybrid work environment. The primary focus of the engagements is working with commercial property insurers to assess physical damage and business income losses resulting from catastrophic events. Responsibilities include analyzing financial and industry data, projecting revenues and expenses, evaluating insurance claims, assessing economic damages, conducting fraud investigations, and performing forensic examinations. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of industries, from small local businesses to multinational corporations. Additionally, the firm offers expertise to insurers and attorneys in areas such as fraud services, litigation support, dispute resolution, and catastrophic response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or advanced degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft Excel)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel overnight, as needed (approximately 20%)

Nice To Haves

  • Five plus years of experience (public accounting preferred)
  • CPA license preferred but not required
  • Genuine interest in the area of forensic accounting and litigation support services
  • Naturally outgoing, self-motivated, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and enjoy a wide variety of work experiences and challenges

Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple, concurrent assignments
  • Supervising the analysis and schedule preparation of staff
  • Building solid technical accounting skills, as well as an understanding of complex property damage, business interruption, and extra expense claims
