About The Position

Well established underground electrical and communications utility contractor seeking an experienced job site foreman. Must have working knowledge of reading plans and specifications. Previous trench excavation and shoring installation experience.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in an underground utility construction environment including trench excavation.
Must have solid communication skills.
Good organization skills.
Must be open to travel and overnight assignments.
Working knowledge of reading plans and specifications.
Previous trench excavation and shoring installation experience.

Responsibilities

Onsite meetings with customers to plan and coordinate construction activity.
Enforce Company safety compliance guidelines.
On site work lay out from blueprints, measuring elevations from benchmarks and profiles.
Focused on job site production, details and quality of installations.
Maintain excavation and shoring standards
Traffic control organization and oversight
Scout job sites for utility locates and ability to start work.
Work with project manager to maintain schedules and target date completion of jobs.
Scheduling equipment, tools and materials to the job site.
Ability to shift priorities as required.
Assist in tracking and measuring completed projects for billing.
Represent the Company with clients as a point of contact.
Complete daily project safety pre-task planning and weekly time sheets.
