Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three years of shop maintenance experience with at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to perform equipment maintenance as well as troubleshooting/diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of proper and safe use of shop equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility and the capacity to handle wide range of situations and personalities.
  • Motivated and fast paced personality with serious work ethics.
  • Strong results orientation.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
  • Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts or as necessary to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to work on various projects under pressure.
  • Sitting, walking, bending, reaching, talking and typing 8+ hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs and move about the work site.
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Clean driving record, verified by MVA report.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling, performing, directing, and evaluating the repair and servicing of equipment.
  • Advising, consulting, and helping other employees.
  • Managing equipment repair schedules and records, including meeting any deadlines or requests by other employees.
  • Purchasing necessary parts to complete repairs.
  • Maintaining the integrity of equipment and ensuring functionality by scheduling and tracking maintenance and repairs for all equipment and fleet on location.
  • Taking work orders and preparing required equipment for jobs.
  • Tracking detailed inventory of parts, supplies and equipment as well as decommissioned or disposed assets and ensuring ongoing communication with Asset Manager.
  • Equipment inspection for damage or wear as well as cleaning, troubleshooting and repair, as needed.
  • Ensuring inspections are completed and passed prior to equipment usage.
  • Researching and maintaining inspection dates of various equipment pieces.
  • Coordinating with Asset Manager all equipment arrivals.
  • Assisting with qualifying and supervising employees at his/her location with DM support.
  • Managing daily flow of work schedule among shop employees to assure efficient processes and procedures and monitoring performance during operating hours.
  • Exemplifying the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Working effectively as a team member with other members of the organization.
  • Jumping in and helping solve situations when employees need assistance.
  • Assisting employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their duties.
  • Maintaining a high state of integrity and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Supporting all other special assignments as directed by the DM.
