About The Position

This seasonal leadership role typically runs from March/April through October or November. We are looking for a leader to finish out our season and we have some availability for year round work before next season. As a Landscape Maintenance Foreman, you’ll lead a dedicated crew while working closely with the Maintenance Field Manager. You’ll be hands-on in the field, guiding your team, ensuring quality work, and helping bring divisional goals to life — all while enjoying the outdoors.

Requirements

Secondary school completion (asset); horticulture education (asset)
Industry certifications (Red Seal, CLT, Pesticide Applicator) an asset
Safety certifications (OFA Level 1, Fall Protection) an asset
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
2+ years in landscaping or equivalent education
Experience leading or supervising a crew
Comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Experience operating landscape equipment
Basic mechanical and plant knowledge
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
This is a 100% labour-based role requiring lifting 50+ lbs and repetitive bending, crouching, twisting, and standing or walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and delegate daily work to keep jobs on track
Lead, coach, and support your crew’s performance and development
Troubleshoot challenges, manage incidents, and support conflict resolution
Inspect, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment
Operate a truck and trailer safely and professionally
Represent Team Horizon with professionalism and excellent customer service
Champion safety through toolbox talks and proper PPE use
Complete daily and weekly paperwork including inspections, reports, and timecards
