The Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing electrical construction activities while leading field personnel to safely deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. Individuals in this role may lead projects, crews, or work areas of varying size and complexity depending on experience, demonstrated capabilities, and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Current Wisconsin Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Current IBEW member or willingness to become a union member with company support.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in electrical construction, which may include experience as a Lead Journeyman or Foreman.
  • Ability to successfully lead crews, work areas, or projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, installation methods, troubleshooting, and material management.
  • Working knowledge of current NEC requirements and industry best practices.
  • Effective communication, planning, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Data Center experience is a plus but not required.
  • Fire Alarm experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits commitment to safety excellence.
  • Lead electrical construction activities in the field while promoting safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
  • Plan and coordinate installation activities, including work sequencing, layout strategy, constructability reviews, and coordination of Methods of Procedure (MOPs) as required.
  • Supervise and develop field personnel including Journeymen and Apprentices
  • Coordinate daily work activities with other trades
  • Collaborate with project support teams to ensure field installation aligns with project requirements.
  • Assist with material planning, procurement, tracking, and organization to support project execution.
  • Communicate project needs, manpower requirements, progress updates, and potential challenges to project leadership.
  • Develop and maintain short-term work plans and manpower forecasts to support overall project schedules.
  • Review drawings, specifications, change documents, and as-built documentation to ensure accurate installation.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, contract requirements, company standards, and customer expectations.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and represent the electrical scope with project stakeholders.
  • Support identification and documentation of project changes, schedule impacts, and field conditions.
  • Monitor productivity and labor performance and communicate opportunities or concerns to project leadership.
  • Implement quality control practices and support testing, labeling, commissioning, and project turnover activities.
  • Ability to adapt and succeed in fast-paced construction environments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, manpower logs, progress tracking, and field records.
  • Lead by example in enforcing company safety policies, conducting safety briefings, identifying hazards, and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Inspect electrical systems and installations to ensure workmanship quality and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Assist with startup, turnover, and closeout activities.
  • Mentor and develop future field leaders through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
