Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrician Foreman in both commercial and residential settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and leading a team of electricians.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
  • A current electrician’s license or certification as required by state laws.
  • Ability to physically perform the duties of the job, including prolonged standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex instructions in a clear, concise manner.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and training in new techniques, technologies, and safety procedures in the electrical field.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of electrical projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations and code requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule the activities of electricians and subcontractors, supervising their work on-site to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and specifications to properly plan and delegate work effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and audits, promoting a culture of safety within the team and remaining compliant with OSHA regulations.
  • Manage project resources and inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and tools are available to meet the project timeline.
  • Provide updates and communicate project progress to senior management, reporting any issues or delays promptly.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical issues that arise during the construction phase.
  • Perform hands-on electrical work when necessary, demonstrating best practices and leading by example.
  • Train and mentor junior electricians and apprentices, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Ensure all electrical work carried out complies with the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local codes.
