This role is responsible and accountable for the safety of the crews under their direction. The Foreman will understand and communicate PRINCE safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance in all areas of safety, while identifying the needs for crew safety training. This position oversees and coordinates the activities of field employees, assesses their competency and capability on the project, and evaluates the capabilities of crew members. The Foreman recognizes and addresses issues/problems that may arise among crew members and provides effective resolutions. They are accountable for following project plans and schedules, ensuring that crews perform activities to meet production goals. This role identifies and communicates needs and deficiencies in the schedule to the appropriate persons, and translates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for each crew. The Foreman reviews and adjusts specific workforce activities and task schedules to meet established production schedules, and identifies, verifies, and reports any scheduling conflicts with other crews and subcontractors to the appropriate persons. Accountable for the preparation of reports as required by PRINCE, approving material requisitions, and maintaining employee time reporting.
