About The Position

CAT Scale Company is hiring a hardworking, dedicated Construction Foreman to join their elite team. This role involves leading a 3-4 person construction crew, traveling across the United States for 2-3 weeks at a time to maintain and repair CAT Scales. Successful Foremen are great teachers who coach and mentor a diverse team, helping them learn the trade. The Foreman will lead and work with various individuals including laborers, maintenance crews, other foremen, subcontractors, and customers. Tasks include concrete work and repair, scale deck repair, trenching for conduit, and using various tools, all while learning to maintain CAT Scale equipment.

Requirements

2 years of proven experience leading a crew
2+ years of professional concrete experience
Must live within a 2-hour drive of CAT Scale headquarters in Walcott, Iowa.
Must have excellent customer service skills
Ability to effectively communicate, lead, motivate, and work with all types of people
Responsible for the protection and maintenance of physical equipment and company assets
Able to work successfully under limited supervision
Must be accountable for your actions, be detail-oriented, and take initiative to complete projects
Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds regularly
Must be able to stand, kneel, and bend over for long periods
Work outside during all types of weather.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or 2-3 weeks at a time, throughout the United States
Ensure all safety guidelines and organizational best practices are always followed.
Valid Class A CDL, OR a clean driving record, and eligibility to obtain

Nice To Haves

Experience operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and other equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work successfully under limited supervision.

Work outside during all types of weather.
Travel up to 75% of the time, or 2-3 weeks at a time, throughout the United States.
