About The Position

The Foreman will oversee and coordinate an assigned construction project from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed. This role involves providing leadership in the initial planning stage, scheduling and coordinating projects, and ensuring adherence to budgets and safety standards. The Foreman will also collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues and manage project activities effectively.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of electrical construction supervisory experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, work well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
  • Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
  • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  • Must be on call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred, but not needed.
  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish preferred.
  • May require travel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate assigned construction projects from start to finish, ensuring schedules and budgets are followed.
  • Select, hire, and oversee employees for specific electrical projects.
  • Supervise projects to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications.
  • Provide leadership in the initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, or other involved parties; develop detailed descriptions of jobs and materials necessary to complete projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.
  • Regularly communicate with Superintendents and Project Managers regarding needs, progress, and concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to the budget and make quick and necessary adjustments with PM partnership when unexpected complications or issues arise.
  • Plan, coordinate, organize, oversee, and direct activities regarding the electrical project of assigned structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met on all projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and electrical or design issues.
  • Manage and lead actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at work sites.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
