About The Position

The Foreman Carpenter is responsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. This role involves identifying and mitigating safety risks, overseeing and managing site work, and performing other assigned duties. The position requires strong knowledge of civil industry practices, blueprint interpretation, and basic building techniques, along with the ability to perform basic arithmetic and adhere to safety and company regulations.

Requirements

  • Must have 4+ years working in Civil industry
  • Must be able to read blueprints, plans, sketches, or building plans and drawings proficiently to perform duties.
  • Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction.
  • Must be able to computer basic arithmetic functions.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed
  • Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow all company and site rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Former Zachry employee
  • Minimum 2 years industrial Experience
  • Training in vocational schools or related to job experience.
  • National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter.
  • Experience working with concrete and rebar

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
  • Oversee and manage the site work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
