About The Position

Carpenter Foreman Position Summary At BLUvera, we are transforming the construction industry through innovative manufacturing, prefabrication, and industrialized construction solutions. The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for leading a team of Production Workers in the safe, efficient, and high-quality fabrication and assembly of construction components within a manufacturing environment. This position combines hands-on carpentry expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring work is completed according to production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Carpenter Foreman serves as a mentor, coach, and technical resource for team members while driving productivity and continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of carpentry, construction, production, or manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership, crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, materials, and construction methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and production equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in prefabrication, modular construction, panelization, or manufacturing.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Forklift, telehandler, or aerial lift certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience using production management or manufacturing software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and support a team of Production Workers engaged in fabrication and assembly activities.
  • Assign daily work tasks and monitor progress to ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on construction methods, quality standards, safety procedures, and best practices.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
  • Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and operational updates to team members.
  • Perform and oversee carpentry work related to prefabricated building components, modular assemblies, wall panels, floor systems, and structural elements.
  • Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Ensure materials are measured, cut, assembled, and installed accurately according to design requirements.
  • Verify completed work meets BLUvera quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Identify and resolve production or construction-related issues before they impact schedules.
  • Assist with prototype builds, process improvements, and new product implementation.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the production process.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas remain organized and maintained.
  • Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate workflow to maximize labor efficiency and production output.
  • Monitor production schedules and staffing needs.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and maintain production flow.
  • Track daily production performance and communicate progress to leadership.
  • Support inventory control and material management activities.
