About The Position

The Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Coordinator is responsible for processing shipments for the day-to-day operations of Holman’s FTZ sites, ensuring compliance with FTZ procedures and federal regulations. This role involves preparing and submitting required documentation to Customs and Border Patrol, maintaining accurate record-keeping and inventory control systems, and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies. The coordinator will also assist in troubleshooting discrepancies, managing import/customs documents, and ensuring compliance with food safety and security standards.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment & customer service experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of FTZ administrative experience preferred.
  • Basic computer or tablet skills; basic office equipment.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook) required.
  • Ability to multi-task, customer service skills, attention to detail, time management, effective analytical skills.
  • Professional written and oral communications skills and attendance punctuality required.
  • Must work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to identify and compare letters and numbers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as receivers, invoices, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and write simple sentences.

Responsibilities

  • Process shipments for the day-to-day operations of Holman’s FTZ sites in accordance with the FTZ procedures manual and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit all required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual documentation and forms to Customs and Border Patrol on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with Holman Operations staff to achieve optimal flow of merchandise and timely submission of reports.
  • Maintain proper record keeping required for operations of Holman FTZ sites.
  • Maintain the FTZ inventory control and record keeping system.
  • Validate FTZ data against clients import documentation as needed to ensure accuracy of integration and information.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to direct management regarding all activities related to the FTZ.
  • Assist in troubleshooting inventory discrepancies and report as necessary.
  • Research and analyze discrepancies discovered during daily operations.
  • Collaborate with U.S. Customs during on-site audits, supplying required documentation and information as requested.
  • Manage recordkeeping of import and Customs documents.
  • Assist in preparation and submission of annual reports to U.S. Customs and the FTZ Board.
  • Carry out all responsibilities in compliance with applicable food safety, SQF, and/or USDA regulations, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with appropriate safety and security standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.
