About The Position

The Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Administrator supports daily FTZ operations to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and company procedures. They execute core FTZ transactions, maintain accurate records, and support inventory control processes within the zone. They work closely with internal teams, customs brokers, and operations teams to ensure all FTZ activity is properly documented and audit-ready. FTZ Administrators are core members of the FTZ Operations team and receive on-the-job training and exposure to regulatory best practices, making this a great launching point for a career in Logistics.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time-sensitive and compliance-driven tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to follow established processes and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling and protecting sensitive information.
  • Proficient with common office technologies, including Windows PCs, Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and web conferencing (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.)
  • Comfort commuting to/from and working in a 100% on-site setting

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Coursework or exposure to import/export, customs, or trade compliance preferred.
  • Basic understanding of customs compliance, FTZ operations, or international trade concepts preferred.
  • Experience with data entry or working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily FTZ transactions to ensure compliance with 19 CFR Part 146 and CBP requirements
  • Maintain FTZ logs, records, and routine documentation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Assist with processing FTZ admissions (e214 filings), status changes, and zone transfers
  • Monitor inventory activity including receipts, adjustments, and removals; escalate discrepancies as needed
  • Perform daily data checks to ensure alignment between FTZ systems, ERP, and WMS records
  • Assist with maintaining FTZ standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal control documentation
  • Support preparation for CBP audits, compliance reviews, and periodic reporting requirements
  • Enter and maintain FTZ transaction data within designated FTZ software systems
  • Help reconcile inventory balances across FTZ systems, ERP platforms, and customs filings
  • Generate routine compliance reports and assist with data analysis for management review
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate filings
  • Respond to basic internal inquiries related to FTZ processes and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance accuracy and process efficiency
  • Maintain organized documentation to ensure audit readiness at all times
