About The Position

Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to helping individuals change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. They are seeking a Foreign Nationals Outreach Worker with the skills and experience to assess and engage with service users, ensuring they receive the right intervention at the right time. This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based in Peterborough.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience working within a similar field.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Knowledge of services available in various countries of origin.
• Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.
• Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden professional knowledge and skills.
• Experience of working with people who have been trafficked or victims of modern-day slavery.
• Must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Foreign Nationals who are rough sleeping and sex working by participating in street-based outreach sessions at various times of the day and night.
• Hold a small caseload of service users, acting as the main coordinator for comprehensive assessments and Drug and Alcohol support.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning, and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Complete planned outreach projects with partner agencies, including street counts and satellite delivery for vulnerable groups.
• Work with service users to support social (re)integration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
• Collaborate with the Police, the Home Office, and anti-trafficking agencies to address issues related to exploitation and trafficking.
