Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of international banking products, services, and operational processes.
  • Extensive experience with SWIFT payment messages, including MT103, MT202, MT199, MT299, and MT210.
  • Experience investigating cross-border or correspondent banking payment exceptions.
  • Strong understanding of SWIFT standards and global payment settlement practices.
  • Demonstrated success reducing operational losses and improving process efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Ability to assess complex situations, anticipate outcomes, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.

  • Bachelor's degree or business, technical, trade, or international banking certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve Nostro account breaks, beneficiary claims, payment returns, non-receipts, and settlement discrepancies.
  • Create and approve SWIFT messages to repair, correct, and re-effect payment transactions.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate payment resolutions.
  • Analyze trends, identify root causes, and recommend solutions that improve operational performance.
  • Support initiatives that enhance controls, streamline processes, and elevate the client experience.
  • Manage inquiries and investigations through shared and personal team workflows.
  • Contribute to a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
