About The Position

Gabrielli Truck Sales is seeking an experienced and driven Ford Service Manager to oversee daily operations of our Ford commercial truck service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technicians, advisors, workflow, customer satisfaction, warranty compliance, and departmental profitability while ensuring high-quality service standards for Ford commercial vehicles and fleet customers. This leadership role requires strong operational knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a fast-paced service team focused on efficiency, safety, and customer retention.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Shop Foreman in a truck dealership or heavy-duty repair environment
  • Strong knowledge of diesel truck diagnostics, maintenance, and repair operations
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and computer software
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ford commercial vehicles and warranty systems preferred
  • CDL preferred but not required
  • Experience managing fleet and municipal accounts
  • Understanding of Ford warranty procedures and OEM compliance standards
  • Ability to analyze KPIs, technician productivity, and departmental financial reports
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the Ford service department to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle repairs
  • Supervise service advisors, diesel technicians, porters, and support staff
  • Monitor shop productivity, technician efficiency, and labor performance metrics
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed according to Ford standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and resolving escalated service issues professionally
  • Oversee warranty administration and ensure proper documentation and claim compliance with Ford policies
  • Coordinate scheduling and dispatching of repair orders to maximize shop productivity
  • Review repair orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper billing procedures
  • Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely parts availability and inventory management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop service department personnel
  • Conduct regular team meetings focused on safety, performance, and operational improvements
  • Monitor departmental financial performance including labor sales, gross profit, and expense control
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet accounts and commercial customers
  • Support after-hours or emergency customer service needs when necessary
