About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience and delivers a legendary experience by identifying and evaluating customer needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The associate demonstrates products, maintains product knowledge through ongoing training, replenishes and restocks merchandise, maintains advertised pricing and signage, assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves, and keeps the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies. The position follows company policies and procedures and includes other duties as assigned. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures.
Ability to constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
Ability to occasionally repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools and motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Identify and evaluate customer needs, make product recommendations, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform tasks under general supervision and occasionally make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.
