About The Position

This position involves assisting with various aspects of the football program, including on-field coaching, practice planning, recruiting, and student-athlete academic support. The role also includes fundraising, managing camps and clinics, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, CCIW, and NCC rules. Additional duties may be assigned based on the candidate's strengths and program needs.

Requirements

• Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College
• Experience playing or coaching football, or athletic administrative experience
• Current CPR / AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in college athletics strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting in on-field coaching of players (position specific is negotiable) for both varsity and junior varsity games
• Practice planning and implementation
• Recruiting, scheduling and travel management
• Assisting in the academic progress and retention of student-athletes
• Engaging in fund raising
• Assisting with camps, clinics, and alumni functions
• Ensuring thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA, CCIW and NCC rules and regulations
