FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER
About The Position
Eurest is hiring a full-time Food Transporter/Delivery Driver at Micron in Boise, Idaho. The role delivers food, supplies, and other products to service units and locations using a vehicle. The driver picks up staged supplies and production orders, checks orders for completeness, loads and unloads deliveries, and follows food sanitation and safety standards. The position also includes collecting empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise, maintaining the cleanliness and routine upkeep of the assigned vehicle, coordinating with coworkers, and providing attentive customer service. Days and hours may vary. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of food service experience.
- A valid state driver's license.
- A valid food handler's permit where required.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
Responsibilities
- Pick up requisitioned supplies from the staging clerk.
- Receive completed production orders from the staging clerk and inventory items to confirm that orders are complete.
- Load orders onto the truck safely and in an orderly manner, with assistance from staging clerks.
- Unload requisitioned materials at delivery locations.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
- Ensure hot and cold food items comply with company standards and sanitation and safety requirements.
- Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
- Interact with coworkers to support company service standards.
- Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
