About The Position
This position is responsible for various tasks related to the food storeroom, including unloading trucks, filling orders, cleaning, and maintaining inventory logs. The role requires effective communication with internal and external customers, basic math and computer skills, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Communicate with internal and external customers (guests, owners, employees, and vendors)
- Good telephone skills
- Must be able to read and comprehend
- Basic Math skills
- Health Department Food Handlers Class completed
- Operating pallet jack – Certification class will be provided if not currently certified by The Greenbrier’s training program
- Basic computer skills – Training will be provided on software operation
Nice To Haves
- Helpful if experienced in a fast paced warehouse situation with knowledge of foods
Responsibilities
- Unloading of trucks
- Filling of orders
- Cleaning
- Keeping log of items we are out of, damaged, or perishable
- Receive, sort, place received food items in proper storage
- Weigh/count items disbursed
- Fill out proper paper work and answer the phone
- Physical Inventory
- Posting requisitions in computer system
