About The Position

The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a full-time Food Service Manager of Concessions. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking, organized individual interested in working in a high volume and fast-paced environment while supporting our mission to: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act! This position is responsible for planning, supervision and coordination of activities and operations of all Food Service areas. Duties will include supervision of subordinate staff in the preparation of food, assurance that proper inventory levels are maintained and declares that all labor, cost and revenue standards are met. In addition, this individual will prepare annual budget and income projections, adhere to proper cash handling procedures, and maintain cleanliness/ safety of Concession and Catering areas.

Requirements

Required certification in Food Service sanitation.
Valid driver's license and insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
At least 21+ years of age.
Must be able to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
Must be able to support the mission: Enjoy. Inspire. Educate. Act!

Nice To Haves

Degree in Food Services, Business, or related field.
Three to five years of experience in food service management.
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
