About The Position

The Food Services Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the Cathay Pacific Lounge at JFK Airport and reports directly to the District Manager. The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, team leadership, client relations, food quality, and customer service skills. The Director manages account finances and operations, conducts human resources functions, oversees scheduling, payroll, and team training, and maintains relationships with customers, guests, the client, and other departments. The position also works with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide high-quality food, and launches culinary programs in coordination with the company’s marketing and culinary teams.

Requirements

Five years of foodservice operations experience.
High-volume production and catering experience.
Previous experience managing a budget.

A bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Culinary studies is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee profit and loss and budgeting for the account.
Manage the account’s day-to-day operations.
Conduct human resources functions, including hiring, progressive counseling, and terminations.
Oversee scheduling, payroll, and team training.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, guests, the client, and other departments.
Work with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide top-quality food.
Roll out new culinary programs in coordination with the company marketing and culinary teams.
