About The Position

CHEO offers its patients hotel-style food services, similar to hotel room service, which has been a successful initiative. They are launching a patient ordering app in August. Their retail locations include a Crafted at CHEO brand in the Cafeteria, Mr Sub, Pizza Pizza, and Starbucks coffee. They also operate the Treehouse Gift Shop. The Food Service Attendant will be responsible for food preparation and handling, formula feed preparation, patient tray setup and assembly, tray delivery and pickup, catering setup, cash and closing procedures, operating the dish machine, maintaining sanitary conditions, and working in retail locations. The timeline for this temporary full-time position is until July 2026, but may be extended or shortened based on operational needs. Candidates will be represented by the Ontario Federation Healthcare Workers – Laborers International Union of North America (OFHCW-LiUNA). Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months experience in food service operation (Essential)
