About The Position

The Village of Taunton Mills has an exciting opportunity for an Unscheduled Part Time Food Services Aide to join their team in Retirement. This role involves assisting in serving meals and beverages to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met while adhering to safe food handling techniques. The position also supports the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintains a clean dining room and workspace. The ideal candidate will display a caring and respectful attitude, work efficiently and safely, and embrace the resident-centered social culture.

Requirements

• Be able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
• Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
• Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
• Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
• Hold a valid Food handlers certification.

Nice To Haves

• Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
• Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
