About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist with preparing and serving meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The position includes hands-on training and support and opportunities for career development. Additional benefits may vary by location and eligibility. Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, as required by state or county law.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
- Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
