About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist with preparing and serving meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role supports HCSG’s commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences.

The position involves helping prepare food, serving meals in accordance with residents’ dietary needs and portion sizes, and maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas. The worker follows food safety and sanitation guidelines, interacts positively with residents, staff, and guests, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required when required by state or county law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
