Food Service Worker (Full Time)
About The Position
Flik Independent School Dining is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker at Saint James in Montgomery, Alabama. The role prepares, presents, and serves food while following food safety, sanitation, service, quality, and portion-control standards. The schedule is full time, with days varying and hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; further details are provided during the interview. Previous two years of experience are required. The pay range is $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. The position is part of a school dining organization focused on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, sustainable agricultural practices, nutrition education, and creating community through food and programming. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Associates must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Prepare, present, and serve food as needed.
- Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables as prep work.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using proper wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
