About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. This role involves delivering stock supplies to patient floor kitchens, serving guests while maintaining positive customer relations, and appropriately replenishing used foods and supplies. The position also includes completing sanitation duties, performing dish room duties, collecting payments for guest trays, and handling cafeteria transactions as a cashier. Additionally, the role involves setting up and serving meals for various dining outlets, decorating buffet and reception tables, and supporting high-quality food preparation and service. This position has a significant impact on customer safety, comfort, and satisfaction. The role requires the ability to perform all functions independently and to support the training of others.
Requirements
- High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
- Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.
- Deliver stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens.
- Serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations.
- Appropriately replenish used foods and supplies.
- Complete sanitation duties.
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily.
- Collect payments for guest trays.
- Handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets.
- Decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned.
- Support high-quality food preparation and service, or is in a supporting role to efficiently allow coworkers to do so.
- Perform all functions independently and cross-trained in food service responsibilities and able to support the training of others.
