About The Position

TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, supporting patients, families, and visitors at an Ascension Health hospital. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with days varying and rotating weekends and holidays. The stated pay range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour. The position involves food preparation, safe handling and storage, cleaning, serving customers, and following food safety, sanitation, service, inventory, and cash-control standards. Associates are expected to provide friendly, efficient service and relay customer concerns or relevant information to a supervisor.

Requirements

Prior customer service experience is required.
Prior cash handling experience is required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare food, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner while following outlined service steps.
Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
Follow company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
