About The Position
Culinary Services Group is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury in Irvington, Virginia. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The employer is willing to train candidates, and no prior experience is required. The schedule varies by day and hours, with multiple shifts available and rotating weekends required. No late nights are scheduled. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Requirements
- No prior experience is required; the employer is willing to train.
- Be able to perform the position's essential functions satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
