About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker at Roper St Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. The role prepares, presents, and serves food while meeting company standards for quality, service, sanitation, safety, inventory, and cash control. The schedule is full time, with open availability preferred; shifts fall between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and days may vary. More schedule details are provided during the interview. Previous food service experience is preferred, and training is offered. The pay range is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
